All staff are employed by Mackin. They have gone through Mackin training and are fully certificated.

Sixty Trained Staff Supplied for Olympic Park Groundworks

Scope of Works:

Main contractor Bam Nuttall appointed Mackin to supply labour to help it prepare the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for public access post the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Description:

Over the course of a year Mackin supplied Bam Nuttall with groundworkers possessing a range of skills and seniority. The contract began with the client taking 10 staff and by its peak, over 60 Mackin staff were working on the project covering foreman positions, pipelayers, plant operators and those with all-round skills.

Works included large hard landscaping to complex deep excavation and deep drain installation.

As the works developed Mackin’s provision of labour to Bam Nuttall became an increasingly important part of the client’s workforce on site.

Challenges:

From time to time the work became highly reactive and throughout Mackin demonstrated its ability to meet the client’s delivery requirements and keep its programme on track.

Outcome:

The client was highly satisfied.
