Groundworks for new Industrial Unit and Service Yard

Description:

Carried out robotic probing to avoid piles and below ground structures. Groundworks carried out to accommodate two by-pass separators and a salvage yard totalling 3340m2. Due to restricted access to the ground beam, a concrete pump (with a 63m boom) was used to pour the concrete. All spoil was retained on site and reused to adjust levels.

Challenges:

Restricted access to furthest point of ground beam required hire of a concrete pump.

Original 5-week program to prepare for pour of concrete was reduced to 3 weeks to keep program on schedule This was achieved by increasing site personnel and weekend working.

Outcome:

Project delivered on time. Now working on completion of service yard slab area.
